Project SkidRow started in 2003 with Egypt and his daughter preparing fifty (50) breakfast bagels and driving an hour to Hollywood California at 5:00AM on a Saturday morning to give breakfast to whomever accepted it. Shortly thereafter, trips to Hollywood attracted friends and quickly grew to more than sixty (60) volunteers today!

The point of Project SkidRow is connect diverse groups of people together for the common cause of serving the needs of our fellow man, which happens to be living on the streets of SkidRow in Los Angeles, Riverside County, Orange County or San Diego County, California (USA). This project now includes much more than just breakfast, we are preparing “Survival BackPacks” for Homeless Men, Women, Young People, and Children on who are living on the violent and unsanitary streets of SkidRow.

Our Survival BackPacks are valued at more than $100 USD retail each, and includes a host of critical brand new clothing, sanitary products, books, nutritional products, bottled water and other relevant products to assist the homeless with critical needs which cannot be met through government relief agencies.

We hope you’ll enjoy our photos. For more information on how you can help us with Project SkidRow, please
